The brand identity of IGPizza, designed by Emanuele Grittini and Giuseppe Liuzzo, draws inspiration from the patterns derived from the shapes visualized on a pizza. This influence has led to the creation of different textures used in the corporate materials and the layout of the location. The design features a pizza that is smiling like a pigeon, with a tongue that comes out of its mouth, symbolizing liveliness and sympathy.
What sets IGPizza apart is its commitment to using only the highest quality ingredients sourced from agricultural holdings of excellence with certification. This ensures that every bite of their pizza is a gourmet experience. Additionally, the brand focuses on creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, providing a tailored service that is close to the customer. IGPizza constantly innovates and pays attention to detail, offering a unique and personalized experience.
The realization of the IGPizza brand involved the use of various printing techniques. Flexography was used for the pizza packaging, while screen printing with Pantone colors was employed for the flyer menu. The project followed a participatory planning approach, involving the client in the decision-making process to better understand their needs and preferences.
The packaging structure of IGPizza has been carefully chosen to meet all the necessary guidelines for product protection. The graphics applied to the box not only enhance the brand's identity but also provide space for communication elements such as links to social media, promotional texts, and instructions on how to place an order through the brand's website.
The interaction with the IGPizza brand identity occurs in various phases. Firstly, the user engages with the menus and packaging, which have been designed to be friendly and communicative, reflecting the brand's vision. Secondly, the brand interacts with its users through social media, ensuring that the corporate graphic identity is maintained and that the published content is interesting and visible. Lastly, the brand immerses its clients in its essence at the point of sale, creating an environment that allows them to appreciate its peculiarities and understand its principles.
The IGPizza project started in July 2016 in Milan and was completed in December 2016. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to create a friendly and "greedy" image that represented the brand's values. The challenge lay in representing the brand's multiple facets in a single graphic sign that would differentiate it from its competitors. Additionally, the printing of pizza delivery materials posed technical challenges due to the limited printing techniques available. However, through research and redesigning the packaging, these challenges were overcome.
IGPizza's unique design and commitment to excellence have been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. IGPizza's brand identity integrates industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its customers, contributing to a better world.
